Using a Dedicated Device for Accutroll

Don’t want to tie up your everyday phone? Consider using a dedicated device for your Accutroll system!

Many boaters repurpose an old smartphone that’s sitting unused in a drawer. Most people have one or two older phones collecting dust after upgrading—typically still fully functional for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth tasks. Installing the Accutroll app on one of these devices breathes new life into otherwise idle electronics and keeps your primary phone free for calls, photos, navigation, and other on-the-water needs.

No cellular service required - Only WiFi and Bluetooth needed

Once you’ve installed the app:

Grant Permissions - Accept all permission requests (Bluetooth, Location, WiFi) when prompted for full functionality
Scan QR Codes - Use the app to scan the QR code labels on your Accutroll devices
Connect & Configure - The app will automatically discover and configure your devices
Start Trolling - Begin using your Accutroll system for precision throttle control
