Macros

You can create both simple and complex macros on your Throttle Control Module that can be triggered by your Accutroll Bluetooth remote control. Macros are a list of actions that will be ran when the buttons are pressed or double-pressed, and can be cancelled by pressing any other key (or when the macro has ended).

By default, there two macros initially created: the (-) and (+) key presses. These are triggered on both the single- and double-click and increment the throttle by 1% and 5% respectively.

Adding the Accutroll Bluetooth remote control

Once you have your Throttle Control Module added, select the (+) icon at the bottom of the devices list screen, then select “Add remote”. From here, ensure the Bluetooth remote control is turned on and has a flashing blue light. Next press Scan to begin scanning for your remote control.

Once the remote control appears on the list, tap on it to save it onto your saved devices list.

You can alternatively try adding the device using your phone’s bluetooth setup.

Configuring

To get started, press the triple dots icon (⋮) next to the remote control you wish to configure. From the menu, select “Configure” and this will bring up the remote control configuration screen.

Actions

There are several actions to choose from when creating macros. These include:

  • Setting the throttle
    • There are two options: relative and absolute
    • An absolute change will set the throttle to this specific value. For example, if the throttle is currently at 5% and the macro calls for “Set throttle (absolute): 20%”, then the throttle will change to 20%.
    • A relative change will add or subtract this value from the current throttle. For example, if the throttle is currently at 5% and the macro calls for “Set throttle (relative): 20%”, the throttle will increase by 20% and will change to 25%.
  • Setting the cruise speed
    • Similar to setting the throttle, there are two variants: relative and absolute
    • The units can be set by clicking on the “mph” and choosing the units best suited for you.
  • Wait for…
    • This macro waits for a specified time before proceeding to the next action.
  • Resetting the throttle to its initial state
    • This will reset the throttle position to its initial state, prior to the macro’s execution
    • For example, if your throttle is initially at 5%, and you execute a macro that adjusts the speed, then have a “Reset” instruction, the throttle will be returned to 5%.
  • Repeat macro
    • The repeat action will loop the macro from its start
    • This action requires steps preceeding it to contain a “Wait for…” action
      • Without the “Wait for…”, using the repeat macro will quickly loop and can cause the app to hang or freeze.
    • This action may only be added at the end of the list. Any instructions after the “Repeat” will be ignored.

Examples

Incrementing/decrementing speeds

You can use the 1 and 3 buttons similarly to the decrease throttle (-) and increase throttle (+) buttons.

  • For button 1:
    • Set throttle (relative): -0.1 mph
  • For button 3:
    • Set throttle (relative): 0.1 mph

Oscillating between two speeds

If you would like to periodically shift between 1.5 and 3 mph, select a target button (e.g. 2) and create the macro:

  • Set cruise speed (absolute): 1.5 mph
  • Wait for: 1 minute
  • Set cruise speed (absolute): 3 mph
  • Wait for: 1 minute
  • Repeat macro
