Pairing and Connecting
The RC-01 pairs directly with your mobile device via Bluetooth. Pairing is a one-time setup step. Connecting is what you do each time you start a session to ensure the remote is active and ready to use.
Pairing Your RC-01
- Open the Accutroll app to the Device List view.
- Tap the + button in the bottom-right corner.
- Select Add Remote from the menu.
- Wake the RC-01 by pressing any button—the blue LED on the remote will begin blinking, indicating it is advertising for connection.
- Tap Scan in the app. The app will begin scanning for nearby Bluetooth advertisements.
- When the remote appears in the list as RC-01, tap it to complete the pairing.
Once paired, the remote will appear under Remote Controls in the Device List view of the Accutroll app.
If the remote stops blinking before you complete the scan, it has returned to sleep. Press any button to wake it and re-start the advertising window, then tap Scan again.
Connecting Each Session
Pairing only needs to be done once. At the start of each session, follow these steps to establish a connection:
- Wake the RC-01 by pressing any button—the blue LED will blink, indicating the remote is advertising.
- In the Accutroll app, go to the Device List view.
- Tap the Remote Controls device tile for the RC-01. This triggers an automatic scan.
- The app will detect the advertising remote and establish the connection automatically.
The Bluetooth icon on the remote’s device tile indicates connection status—check it to confirm the remote is connected before use.
If the remote is not found during the scan, ensure it is awake and advertising. Press any button to wake it and try again.
