Cruise Control Hunting or Slow to Target
Cruise control needs speed feedback. If the TCM has no speed reading, fix that first: No Speed Feedback / Cruise Unavailable. For setup and the full tuning walkthrough, see Cruise Control.
Problem
Cruise is slow to reach the target speed, or it hunts / overshoots.
Solution
On the TCM UI, open Cruise control response. The scale is 1–10; the default is 3.
- Too slow to target → increase the value
- Hunting or overshoot → decrease the value
Cruise control response is only useful once speed feedback is present and the servo is calibrated. See the TCM Installation Guide for calibration.
